Qatar's Abdulrahman Saeed Hassan Qualifies for Tokyo Olympic Games

Qatari runner Abdulrahman Saeed Hassan qualified for the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), after achieving a time of 3: 34.24 in the 1500-meter race and securing second place in the Nirtha Challenge championships which was held in Malaga, Spain.

Abdulrahman Saeed joined the list of Al-Adaam champions, most notably Mutaz Barshim in the high jump, Abdulrahman Samba in the 400-meter hurdles race, Ashraf Al Saifi in overthrowing the hammer, Abu Bakr Haidar in the 800-meter race, and Musab Adam in the 1500-meter race.

For his part, Executive Director of the Qatar Athletics Federation Khalid Rashid Al Marri congratulated Abdulrahman Saeed on obtaining the qualifying card for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, indicating that there is a great opportunity to increase the number of qualifiers from the national team to the Olympiad during their participation in the Doha Round of the Diamond League that will be held on May 28 at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar Club.
