FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Asian Qualifiers: Arab Teams Continue Preparations for Seventh Round

Arab teams continued their preparations for the seventh round of the Asian qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The Iraqi team will face Iran Thursday in Tehran in Group A, Iran's victory will guarantee qualification to the World Cup for the sixth time in its history as it leads Group A with 16 points from six matches while Iraq is in fifth place with only four points.

The Syrian team, last place in Group A, are with two points as they continued prep in Dubai to face the UAE  who hold third place with six points next Thursday at Al Maktoum Stadium in Al Nasr Club.

Lebanon continued its preparations to face South Korea Thursday at Rafic Hariri Stadium, the Lebanese team seeks to enhance their chances and come out with a satisfactory result. Meanwhile, South Korea occupies second place in Group A with fourteen points, while Lebanon is fourth with five points.

The Omani national team has started preparations in Jeddah to face the Saudi team Thursday at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in the seventh round of Group B matches.

Saudi Arabia, led by its French coach Herve Renard, leads Group B and is close to qualifying for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, after winning 16 points from six matches (five wins and a draw), four points ahead of Japan whos has 12 points, while Australia in sit in third place with 11 points. Oman is in fourth in Group B with seven points, in front of China who is in fifth place with five points, and finally, Vietnam is last with no points.
