This morning, a virtual meeting was held between the Qatar Volleyball Association, and the Japanese City Council of Chita and its sports committee via video conference meeting, with the aim of supporting the Qatar beach volleyball team, consisting of the duo Cherif Yunes and Ahmed Tejan, ranked among the best international teams. During the meeting, the team players were invited to use the stadiums of the city of Chita during the pre-preparation period for the Tokyo Olympics 2021, as the Japanese city of Chita is one of the best cities to have stadiums for practicing beach volleyball.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohamed Salem Al-Kuwari, QVA member of the Board of Directors and Vice-Chairman of the Beach Volleyball Committee, and Qatar beach volleyball team duo, in addition to the presence of the national team coach, Mr. Mariano, and his assistant, Pablo.
The meeting was also attended as a representative of the Japanese community side, a group of students from different age groups from Yawata Middle School for Secondary Education headed by the principal of the school, Mr. Sato, as well as as a representative of the community side in Qatar, students of different ages from the Japanese School in Doha headed by Mr. Kamatsu, the principal of the school.
During the meeting, several aspects of cultural and sports exchange between the Japanese city of Chita and the Qatari Volleyball Association were discussed in preparation for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, as well as the support of the Japanese community for the Qatari team as one of the best beach volleyball teams during its participation in the Tokyo Olympics 2021. The national team and the technical director of the team explain the rules of the game and the most important characteristics of beach volleyball.
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Salem Al-Kuwrari expressed his great happiness to participate in the meeting as a preparatory step to participate in the Tokyo Olympics 2021, where many matters related to providing logistical matters were discussed in the preparation camp stage that will precede participation in the Olympics.
