Qatar SC coach Helio Sousa spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 18 match against Al Markhiya.
“We had a great desire to win the last match against Al Ahli and we controlled the course of the match. We had many opportunities that we did not take advantage of. On the other hand, we did not control the counterattacks, which made us concede goals even though we were... We are capable of achieving a win or a draw at the very least, but we were not successful in achieving that and we have to make up for it in the next match.
“We seek to move forward in the league standings and it will be very important for us to achieve victory in direct games with our close competitors in positions, and there is no doubt that our match against Al Markhiya assumes great importance because they are a team that has developed greatly during the break. They also aspire to win, so it will be a difficult match.
“We must be extremely focused and give everything we have to win this very important match,” said Sousa.
Qatar SC player Yohan Boli said, “I adapted well to the team and benefited from the great experience I have through my good knowledge of the league. This helped me greatly adapt quickly and I am looking forward to provide everything I have with the rest of my team-mates in order to serve the team.
“We must give everything we have in order to collect three points and move forward in league standings.
“Full focus must be maintained and every player must give his best to overcome this difficult time.”
