Muaither coach Jorge Da Silva spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 17 match against Al Gharafa.
“We respect Al Gharafa as they are a big team and considered as one of the most important teams in the league. They perform well and have great players.
“Our task against Al Gharafa is not easy, but we are working at a high pace in preparation for this important match, and everyone knows the great responsibility on our shoulders, be they the technical staff or players. We will do everything we can to provide the best performance to achieve the victory, which will be extremely important for us.
“We must play with extreme caution against Al Gharafa, narrow the spaces for them on the field and prevent them from keeping the ball. We know how to play against Al Gharafa, who have skilled players, and we will work to restrict them and field our players in an organized manner. The most important thing is to take advantage of all possible opportunities, because such matches are on you. Take advantage of everything available to you and you must remember that such matches are decided on small details.
“I have complete confidence in my players and everyone is ready for this match, and morale is high. We work daily to prepare the players in the best possible way to go into the match with full strength and we will rely on our abilities,” said Da Silva.
Muaither player Moataz Bostami said, “We respect Al Gharafa. They are a strong team and we know how dangerous they are on the field and we take that into account. It is evident from the fact that they are among the four teams competing for the league title.
“We will go into the match with high concentration and play calmly. And we will work to contain their game. As players, we worked with the technical staff to study Al Gharafa. We will give everything we have to achieve victory and emerge from the match with a positive result.
