Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 17 match against Muaither.
“After the break, the team began preparing for this match and I praise the 100 per cent readiness of all players.
“This match has the same importance and value as the rest of the matches, with three points, and it is important, and we still have seven finals to go. We have to respect Muaither as we respect all teams, and it is important that we achieve victory over a team that is fighting and improving defensively, and we have to respect the opponents and it will not be an easy match.
“The atmosphere in general is good, not only in the team, but in the club in general, and morale is high, in addition to the great support from the fans who stand behind the team. There is great improvement at all levels and I am really proud of this because we are building something special,” said Martins.
Al Gharafa player Yousef Saeed said, “The preparations for the Muaither match were like any match and we must focus on our performance as players in order to come out of the match well and achieve the victory with the three points.
“I thank our fans and hope for the continued fan support in the remaining matches. It is a must for the players in their bid to make the fans happy.”
