Qatar national team yesterday finished runnersup in the snooker event on third day of the Arab Billiards and Snooker Championship, underway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The national side comprising the trio of Ahmed Saif, Muhanna Al Obaidly and Bashar Hussein fell against Iraq 1-2 after a thrilling battle in the final.
Qatar team finished the group stage on top after beating two Saudi Arabia sides and Kuwait.
They defeated Jordan in the semi-finals. The championship participated among 12 countries will conclude on May 29.
