England continue their world cup journey tonight in a round of 16 clash with Senegal tonight at the Al Bayt stadium in Al Khor.

England, who are one of the 5 sides left in the tournament without a loss on their record, reached the round of 16 following a group stage which saw them draw against the United States and comprehensively beat Iran and Wales, scoring a total of 9 goals in the first stage of the competition.

Senegal’s group run saw them lose to the Netherlands, before defeating Qatar and Ecuador to seal their qualification to the round of 16.

The two sides have never faced each other on the international stage, neither in friendlies or in tournament play.

The match kicks off at 10pm, with the winner set to take on either France or Poland in the quarter final stage.
