President of the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and President of the Lusail Circuit Sports Club, Abdul Rahman Al Mannai, praised the great success of the Qatar Grand Prix, the first round of the MotoGP World Motorcycle Championship, which concluded its competitions this evening, considering that Doha provided an ideal copy for the opening of the global championship at the technical and organizational levels.
Al Mannai said, in a press statement, that the success of the twentieth edition of the Qatar Grand Prix was remarkable, especially in light of the great competition between the various international teams, as the competition was between the most prominent riders in the world, which appeared through the close results and the small differences in the numbers.
He added that the Qatar Grand Prix this year witnessed a remarkable achievement for the Qatari rider, Hamad Al Sahouti, who managed to achieve second place in the Asian Talent Cup for the first time, which was held on the sidelines of the Qatar Grand Prix.
Al Mannai considered that Al Sahoutis achievement is the fruits of the past years, which witnessed preparing Qatari riders to participate in international and world championships, looking forward that this achievement will be just the beginning of more victories and successes during the upcoming competitions.
The QMMF President thanked all those who supported the success of the Qatar Grand Prix, especially Qatar Tourism, which greatly contributed to the promotion of the event and the large events that were organized for the masses, pointing to the large public turnout at the event and the filling of the stands of the Losail International Circuit with motorcycling enthusiasts.
