Week 4 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League will start on Sunday with three tough matches.

Al Duhail faces Al Sailiya in Week 4 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League with kick-off at 16:45 at the Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday.

Portuguese Luis Castro-coached Al Duhail are leading the table with nine points along with an all-win record. They have the same number of points as reigning champions Al Sadd.

Al Duhail defeated Al Gharafa 3-1 in the last round with goals from captain Almoez Ali (28th minute, penalty) and Abdelrahman Mohammed (54th and 67th minutes).

The Red Knights' other victories were against Al Khor (4-1) and Al Arabi (2-1).

Al Sailiya started their campaign on a losing note after they were beaten 2-0 by Al Sadd, but bounced back from a deficit twice to beat promoted Al Shamal 3-2 in Week 2.

However, The Peregrines, coached by Tunisian Sami Trabelsi, lost 0-1 to Al Arabi in Week 3 and will be eager to put behind the disappointment.

Also featured, Al Sadd play Al Shamal in Week 4 as the match begins at 19:30 at the Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday.

Al Sadd are in tremendous form in their bid to retain the league shield. Xavi Hernandez-coached side beat Al Rayyan 4-2 in the Qatar Clasico in Week 3 to extend their domination over the latter, having defeated them in both legs of last season's Qatar Clasico.

Al Sadd had defeated Al Sailiya 2-0 and Qatar SC 3-1 in their previous matches. The Wolves are in second place with nine points.

Al Sadd had won last season's league championship by being the only unbeaten side.

Al Shamal, who returned to the First Division after six seasons, are on a high after registering their first victory, a 2-1 verdict over Qatar SC in Week 3.

Al Shamal, who had lost the first two matches (0-2 to Al Gharafa and 2-3 to Al Sailiya) are in seventh with three points, coach Hisham Jadrane and his wards will be keen to repeat performances.

Qatar SC goes head-to-head with Al Arabi in Week 4 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:30 at the Al Arabi on Sunday.

Qatar SC are positioned 11th in the standings with one point following their shock 1-2 defeat at the hands of promoted side Al Shamal in the last round.

The Kings, coached by Brazilian Ze Ricardo, lost to reigning champions Al Sadd 1-3 in Week 2 after playing out a goalless draw with Al Ahli in the opening round.

Al Arabi are on a high following their 1-0 win over Al Sailiya in Week 3. The Dream Team are placed fourth with six points.

Younes Ali's men lost 1-2 to Al Duhail but beat Al Wakrah 1-0.

Al Arabi and Al Gharafa are level on points and goal difference, but the latter are placed ahead by virtue of having scored more goals (4 as against Al Arabi's 3).

On Monday, Al Gharafa face Umm Salal in Week 4 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:45 at the Khalifa International Stadium.

Andrea Stramaccioni-coached Al Gharafa had finished fourth in the last two seasons and their aim will not be different this time around.

The Cheetahs, currently placed third in the QNB Stars League standings with six points, started off with a 2-0 win over Al Shamal and followed it up with a 1-0 victory over Al Ahli.

However, Al Gharafa lost 1-3 to Al Duhail in a high-profile match in the last round.

Umm Salal are sixth with three points, having drawn all their games so far (2-2 with Al Rayyan, 1-1 with Al Khor and 1-1 with Al Ahli).

The Orange Fortress, under the tutelage of Brazilian Sergio Farias, would be keen on recording their first victory sooner to avoid being in the relegation zone.

Umm Salal have the likes of Yassin Bakhit, Aymen Hussein, Ali Ferydoon, Adel Alawi and Ayman Abdennour, while Al Gharafa boast of Ahmed Alaaeldin, Othman Al Yahri, Sofiane Hanni, Mahdi Tahrat and Homam Al Ameen.

Al Wakrah play Al Ahli in Week 4 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:30 at the Khalifa International Stadium on Monday.

Al Wakrah began their campaign by losing 0-1 to Al Arabi, but The Blue Wave pulled off a 1-1 draw with Al Rayyan in Week 2.

Marquez Lopez's men, currently placed fifth in the QNB Stars League standings with four points, beat Al Khor 2-1 in the last round.

Al Ahli are ninth with two points which they collected from their goalless draws against Qatar SC in Week 1 and Umm Salal in Week 3.

The Brigadiers, under Montenegrin coach Nebojsa Jovovic, had lost 0-1 to Al Gharafa in their other match.

Also, Al Rayyan face Al Khor in Week 4 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:30 at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Monday.

Al Rayyan, who drew 2-2 with Umm Salal and 1-1 with Al Wakrah in the first two rounds, suffered a 2-4 loss to reigning champions Al Sadd in the last round, in the match billed the Qatar Clasico.

So Al Rayyan's French coach Laurent Blanc will want his wards to pull up their socks sooner rather than later if they are to be strong contenders for a top finish this season.

The Lions are placed 10th with two points.

Al Khor, meanwhile, are at the rock bottom of the table with one point that they collected from their 1-1 draw with Umm Salal in Week 2.

The Knights, under the tutelage of German Winfried Schafer, had lost 1-4 to Al Duhail in Week 1 and 1-2 to Al Wakrah in Week 3.

Al Khor will be looking forward to an improved performance if they are to avoid the ignominy of playing the Relegation Play-Off for the third successive season.

Al Rayyan will hope their new recruit, Colombian star James Rodriguez, adding to their offensive line, mainly manned by Yohan Boli and Yacine Brahimi.

Al Khor have players, such as Rafael Vaz, Giannis Fetfazidid, Ismail Al Haddad, Helal Mohammed and Saeed Brahimi.
