Head coach of the Yemeni team Ahmed Ali Qassem expressed his delight at being in Doha and participating in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup qualifiers, expressing his hopes that the team will feature in the competition later this year.

Qassem said that the competition is basically a miniature world cup for the Arab World, thanking the State of Qatar for being a good host. On the match, he said that it will be a difficult showing especially given the team's poor showing in recent matches. He maintained however that both teams have equal odds in Tuesday's match and that the Yemeni team will look to put an end to a recent run of form, especially that Yemeni fans are desperate for a victory.

Head coach of the Mauritanian team Corentin Martins stressed that his team is more than capable of beating Yemen, when the two teams meet Tuesday in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup qualifiers.

Martins praised the Qatari organization of the qualifiers and said it was perfect. He added that everything went smoothly for the team since arriving whether it was the reception, stay, stadiums, or the other facilities.

He said that tomorrow's match will be a difficult one given that anything could happen in football. He stressed however that the Mauritanian team is focused on qualifying for the competition, set to take place in December.
