The Omani national team qualified for the decisive round of the Asian Double qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Asian Cup in China, after their victory over Bangladesh 3-0 today at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, as part of the last round of Group E competitions in the second round of the tournament playoffs.

Muhammad Al-Ghafri scored the first goal in the 22nd minute, then Khaled Al-Hajri added the second and third goals in the 60th and 80th minutes.

The second match in the same group witnessed a 1-1 draw with Afghanistan at the same stadium.

The Omani team have 18 points in second place behind the Qatari team, the leader of the group who are pre-qualified (22 points).
