Debutants Qatar will face Panama in their opening match of the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, it was announced yesterday.
Asian champions Qatar, the only invitee in the 13-nation tournament, will play their first match at the BBVA Stadium in Houston, at 2:00am Qatar time on July 14, the fixtures announced by the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) showed.
In Group D, Qatar's other opponents will be Honduras and Grenada. Qatar's next match will be against Grenada on July 17 (July 18 - 2:00am Qatar time) at the same venue.
The Felix Sanchez-coached team will take on Honduras in their third and final Group match three days later.
