Defending champions Qatar outplayed the UAE 22-17 for their third straight win in Group C of the Asian Handball Championship in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday. Qatar, who had beaten Oman on Tuesday and Iraq on Wednesday, sit atop Group C with six points.
Iraq sit in second on four points, having beaten the UAE 32-31 in their opening match before beating Oman 31-29 this afternoon. The UAE, in third, have four points, while Oman sit at the bottom of the group having failed to win a match.
Qatar's next match will be against Iran on the 22nd of January.
