Thirteen European nations will feature at Qatar 2022
A 4-0 win in North Macedonia on Monday saw Germany became the first nation after hosts Qatar to lock up their spot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.
After a scoreless first half in Skopje, a double from Timo Werner and one goal each from Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala secured Germany's fifth win in as many starts under new coach Hansi Flick.
It was a major turnaround from Germany’s shock 2-1 home loss against the same opponent in March – their only dropped points from their eight Group J outings.
Thirteen European nations will feature in Qatar with the 22nd edition of the World Cup to commence on 21 November 2022.
