World Tour Finals: Qatar's Beach Volleyball Team Beat Russia

The world number one Qatari beach volleyball team of Sherif Younis and Ahmed Tejan won by two straight sets (21-14, 21-8) over Russian team of Ilya Lychukov and Konstantin Semenov in the match that took place in the second group in the World Beach Volleyball Tour Finals Championship - Sardinia, Italy, for men and women in its sixth edition which started Wednesday and will conclude on the tenth of October.

Qatar will play on Thursday its second match in the tournament against Italian team of Adrian Ignacio and Enrico Rossi.

This tournament is the first for the Qatari team after Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020) in which it won the bronze medal.

On the other hand, the Qatari beach volleyball team consisting of the duo Sherif Younis and Ahmed Tejan maintained the top spot in the world rankings after being ranked first according to the newly announced classification by the International Volleyball Federation.
