Two matches will be held at the start of the fifth round of the Qatar Men's Handball League for the 2021-2022 sports season, where Al Rayyan meets Al Sadd in the first match, while Al Duhail faces Al Ahli in the second match.
This round will be completed next Sunday with three confrontations between Al Shamal and Al Wakra, Al Gharafa with Al Khor, and Al Arabi against Qatar.
Al Duhail leads the teams standings after the fourth round with 12 points, followed by Al Wakra in second place with 11 points, then Al Rayyan in third place with 10 points, Al Arabi in fourth place with 9 points, Al Sadd in fifth place with 8 points, and Qatar SC in sixth place with the same Balance, Al Ahli in seventh place with the same balance as well, Al Gharafa in eighth place with 6 points, Al Khor in ninth place with 4 points, and Al Shamal in tenth place with the same balance.
The Qatari Men's Handball General League will be held this season with the full league system (in two sections) home and away and the first section will concluded on Saturday October 23.
Al Duhail won the league title last season 2020/2021 for the third time in its history while Al Arabi ranked second and Al Wakra ranked third.
It is noteworthy that Al Rayyan holds the record for winning the title 14 times, followed by Al Sadd who won it 9 times, while Al Ahli and Al Jaish won it 4 times, Al Duhail 3 times, Al Arabi and Qatar SC twice, and Al Gharafa and Al Wakra once each.
