Qatar Women’s Sports Committee (QWSC) signed a strategic partnership agreement with the ‘You Are Important’ initiative which is implemented by the Stadium Security Section at the Authorities and Missions Security Department of the Ministry of Interior.

The agreement aims at promoting community awareness of stadium security and consolidating the security partnership between the community and security services.

The agreement was signed by the Assistant Director of the Authorities and Missions Security Department of the Ministry of Interior Brig-Gen Jassim Mohamed al-Hail and Assistant Secretary of the Women’s Sports Committee Maha Yousef al-Abduljabbar.

Commenting on the agreement, Brig-Gen al-Hail said that the agreement is a culmination of the joint and fruitful cooperation between the two sides and their previous meetings and educational workshops, aiming at enhancing the joint cooperation to spread security awareness among the members of the Women’s Sports Committee in particular and the public in general, in addition to participating in the activities and events organised by the two parties.

Maha al-Abduljabbar expressed pleasure with signing the co-operation agreement with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Stadium Security Section, noting that the Women’s Sports Committee has a partnership with all sectors of the Ministry of Interior, especially with the Stadium Security Section for its influential role in the sports movement.

Supervisor of the ‘You Are Important’ initiative Capt Saeed Juma Al-Hitmi said that the partnership contributes to achieving the common goals and unifying efforts for the benefit of all those interested in attending sports events.

The signing ceremony was attended by member of Qatar Women’s Sports Committee Kaltham al-Rumaihi, Supervisor of the ‘You Are Important’ initiative Capt Saeed Juma al-Hitmi, Executive Director of the Women’s Sports Committee Amna al-Qasimi, in addition to the initiative’s team and members of the Women’s Sports Committee.
