Al Arabi and Al Duhail will both participate in the 23rd Asian Handball Club Championship, which will be hosted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from June 12 to 21, with the participation of 11 teams.

The Asian Handball Confederation announced today the schedule of the tournament matches, as Al Arabi will play their first group matches (including five teams) against Al-Najmah Bahrain on Saturday 12 June, then they will meet Saudi side Mudhar on Sunday, June 13, and Kuwaiti side Al Salmiya on Wednesday, June 16 to conclude their matches in the group stage against Iranian side Shahid Kazaroun on 17 of the same month

As for the Al Duhail team, it opens its confrontations in the second group (which includes six teams) against the Uzbek side Uzbek on Saturday June 12, then against Saudi side Al Wehda on Sunday, June 13, then facing the Yemeni side Al Qaten Club, June 14, and with Kuwait side Al Kuwait on Wednesday June 16, provided that He concludes his matches in the group stage against Iranian side Mes Kerman on Thursday 17th of the same month.

The first and second place winners from each group qualify for the semi-finals, where the first group meets the second group second, while the second group first will play with the first group two on Saturday, June 19, and the two winners qualify for the final match that will be held on Monday 21 of the same the month.

Al Arabi is participating in the championship as the champion of the Qatari General Handball League, and Al Duhail as the champion of the Cup of HH the Amir in the previous season (2019-2020).

Al Arabi won the last edition of the Asian championship, which was held in Samcheock, South Korea, in 2019, after winning the final over Saudi side Al Wehda (21-19) in the final.
