Spain's Jaume Masia led at the end of the three-day test for the Moto3 class, while Britain's Sam Lowes was quickest on day three of Moto2 test at the Losail International Circuit.

In Moto2 class, Sam Lowes ended the final Moto2 test of the 2021 pre-season fastest of all, pipping Valentino Rossi protege Marco Bezzecchi by 0.013 seconds on the final day. Bezzecchi was the initial pacesetter as the final session got underway, trading top spot with series rookie Raul Fernandez and his Ajo team-mate Gardner.

The VR46 rider's 1m59.022s benchmark quickly fell to Sam Lowes' 1m58.805s, with the Marc VDS rider bettering this to a 1m58.665s with around 43 minutes remaining having briefly been deposed by Bezzecchi.

Lowes' time came under threat from Gardner at the end of the session, but the Australian missed out by 0.048s in third, with Bezzecchi holding second.

In Moto3 test, it was Jaume Masia who was the fastest rider in the test, the Spaniard finishing three tenths of a second ahead of his rookie teammate Pedro Acosta. With rookies finishing second and fourth - Izan Guevara of the Gaviota Aspar GasGas team was under half a second off Masia - the new entrants into the Moto3 class are looking very strong.

Dennis Foggia finished ahead of Izan Guevara, and first Honda, the Leopard Honda rider four tenths behind Masia, while Gabriel Rodrigo set the fifth fastest time. John McPhee and Jeremy Alcoba made it another couple of Hondas in sixth and seventh, while Romano Fenati was the first Husqvarna home, the Swedish brand a rebadged KTM, like the GasGas.
