Al Shamal SC have arrived back to Doha, after defeating fellow Qatari Club Al Arabi 33-31 in the finals to claim the title of champion of the 15th Arab Handball Championships for Clubs held in Tunisia.
The team was welcomed by the management of the club at Hamad International Airport, bring back home a trophy that signifies Al-Shamal's dominance in handball amongst Arabian clubs. Al Shamal remained dominant and at the top of the tournament standings throughout the competition.
Al Shamal surpassed Saudi Arabian club Al Khaleej 32-28 in the semi-finals, before having an all Qatari clash final against Al Arabi SC, who finished the competition in second place following the defeat.
As the Qatar handball league is scheduled to resume on April 4, Al Arabi sits at the top of the standings whilst Al Shamal is placed in 8th.
