Morocco take on Spain tonight in the first round of 16 fixture of the evening, in a match that will kick off at 6pm at the Education City stadium.

Spain head into the match looking to shake off some inconsistent form from the group stages. They started their tournament brightly, with a 7-0 victory over Costa Rica, before drawing a close match against Germany. They ended their group stage with a shock loss to Japan, in a final day where their qualification to the knockout stages was under threat.

Morocco head into the match as group winners after securing victories over Belgium and Canada, and a draw against Croatia, qualifying from the group stage for the second time in their history.

This is not the first time that Morocco and Spain face off in the World Cup, with their previous meeting ending in a 2-2 draw at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
