Japan take on Croatia in the third day of the Round of 16 at Al Janoub Stadium.

Japan are going into the match with the aim of reaching the quarter-finals for the first time in their footballing history.

In a World Cup filled with surprises, not many expected that Japan would beat both Germany and Spain, topping Group E and qualifying for the knock-out stage of the tournament.

Croatia, meanwhile, are a team that have been undefeated in nine out of their last ten World Cup clashes.

Croatia is unbeaten in the Qatar World Cup and they have not lost a Round of 16 match in their last two World Cup appearances.

The two nations have faced each other twice before in a world Cup, in 1998 and 2006.

Match kick-off is at 18:00 Doha time.
