Cameroon vs. Brazil Preview

Luay Ahmed

Brazil have enjoyed a strong start to the World Cup, winning their first match against Serbia 2-0, and their second match against Switzerland 1-0. Cameroon lost their first match to Switzerland by a single goal, before playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Serbia.

Brazil have already secured their qualification, but a loss against Cameroon coupled with a Swiss win over Serbia by a margin of three goals or more could see the Brazilians give up their position as group leaders.

On the other hand, Cameroon have everything to play for. They come into this match needing a win to qualify to the Round of 16, as well as a favorable result between Serbia and Switzerland.

The two nations have faced off twice before at the World Cup. The first meeting between the sides came in 1994, in a match which Brazil won 3-0. The second meeting came at the 2014 competition in South Africa, with Brazil winning 4-1 on that occasion.
