Brazil will take on Switzerland in the second round of group stage matches at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at Stadium 974 at 7pm on Monday evening

Brazil go into today’s game as favourites, fresh off of a 2-0 win over Serbia, with Switzerland having beaten Cameroon 1-0.

Both previous meetings between the sides at the FIFA World Cup have ended in a draw, including in the 2018 edition.

Switzerland have won just one of their eight FIFA World Cup games against South American sides, beating Ecuador 2-1 in 2014 in Brazil.

Off the back of their 1-0 win over Cameroon, Switzerland are looking to win their opening two games at a World Cup for the first time, whereas Brazil are looking to win back-to-back World Cup games against European nations for the first time since a run of six between 2002 and 2006.

Brazil top group G on goal difference, with both Brazil and Switzerland currently sitting on three points.
