At 19:00 Doha time, the second Group C match of the day sees Mexico take on Poland at Stadium 97, at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Mexico have qualified for the World Cup 17 times, although they failed to qualify for the finals in 1934, 1974, and 1982. This edition of the tournament sees Poland’s eight tournament appearance.

Poland’s captain FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski looks to take his national team to football splendor, in what most likely will be his final World Cup appearance, even though the 34-year-old says this won’t be his last, adding he wants to play in the 23rd edition of the tournament in 2026.

El Tri look to seal the second spot in Group c, as they are favourites to advance, along with Argentina. Mexico have picked up eight CONCACAF Gold Cups, from 1993 to 2019, making them the best team in the tournament’s history.

Player to watch for Poland is captain Lewandowski and player to look out for on the Mexican side is Edson Alvarez.
