Generation Amazing Youth Festival opens ahead of World Cup

Generation Amazing Foundation’s fourth annual Youth Festival 2022 opened at Education City's Oxygen Park Main Stage.

The Youth Festival is the first-ever sport for development and cultural exchange programme of its kind to take place ahead of a FIFA World Cup.

The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including the Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation (QF), H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Hassan Al-Thawadi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, and Gianni Infantino, FIFA President.

A keynote address was delivered by Malek Jandali, a Syrian-American pianist and composer.


More than 300 students selected from local and international schools representing the 32 competing nations have traveled to Qatar to participate in the week-long Festival,

comprised of football for development workshops and activities.

Generation Amazing is a movement of youth advocates, coaches, volunteers, star players, and participants who care about one goal: using football to empower youth and improve the world. Until now Generation Amazing has reached one million beneficiaries from around the world.
