Al Gharafa unveil Pedro Martins as new coach

Al Gharafa unveiled their new coach Pedro Martins during a ceremony held in Doha, yesterday. The 52-year-old Portuguese tactician, former coach of Greek Super League champions Olympiacos, will take over the coaching job, replacing Andrea Stramaccioni. Martins said: “It is a great honour for me to join Al Gharafa for a season and a half, with its great history, and I promise the team will return to victories, my goal is to create harmony among everyone to restore the team’s identity. Thanks His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Thamer Al Thani for all the hospitality that I received. We will return to the podiums again!”
