QVA Participates in 45th AVC Board of Administration Meeting

The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) participated in the 45th meeting of the Board of Administration of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) in the Philippines.

The meeting discussed a number of proposals and initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of volleyball on the continent.

Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari, President of QVA and West Asian Volleyball Association (WAVA), praised the success of the meeting, which witnessed the participation of President of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Dr. Ary Graca, and chaired by President of the AVC Rita Subowo in the presence of a number of members of the board of directors of the International and Asian volleyball federations.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the FIVB President Dr. Ary Graca and AVC President Rita Subowo signed a historic long-term partnership, which will see FIVB and Volleyball World invest significantly to further professionalize and grow the sport in Asia. The nine-year deal will run from 2024 to 2032, with Volleyball World looking to maximize the commercial potential of AVC senior international events including the men's and women's Asian Senior Championships, Asian Club Championships, Asian Beach Volleyball Championships and AVC Cup.
