The Qatari beach volleyball team, consisting of Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, finished fifth in the King of the Court Championship, which was held in Hamburg Germany over four days with the participation of the best world-ranked teams.

The tournament resulted in the victory of the duo of Dutch Robert Meeuwsen and German Clemens Wickler, after winning first place, beating Mart Tiisaar and Kusti Nolvak of Estonia. Alexander Brouwer and Ruben Penninga of the Netherlands finished third. Alejandro Huerta and Adrian Gavira from Spain came in the fourth spot.

The Qatari team is ranked second in the world according to the world classification announced by the International Volleyball Federation a few days ago.

The Qatari team, the winner of the bronze medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, was at the top of the international rankings in the past months.

The Qatari beach volleyball team was previously awarded the King of the Court title, which was hosted by Aspire Zone Foundation over four days in January, with the participation of 20 international teams in the men's category, and 15 international teams in the women's category.
