Asian Men's Beach Handball Championship: Qatar Beat Oman 2-1

The Qatari beach handball team defeated Oman 2-1 on Wednesday in the eighth Asian Men's Beach Handball Championship, hosted in the Iranian capital, Tehran, until March 28, and acts as a qualifier for the World Championships in Greece in June.

Qatar raised its score to four points from two victories, defeating the Philippines 2-1 in their first match on Tuesday.

Besides hosts Iran and defending champions Qatar, Oman, Vietnam, the Philippines, and India are participating in the event.

Teams securing the top two positions in the continental event will qualify for the World Championships in Greece.

Qatar won the championship title in China in 2019, after defeating Oman 2-0 in the final match.
